So it’s been forever and a year since my last blog post and I promise I have a good reason! For those of you who do not know, I recently started my fall semester at the University of Nevada Las Vegas as a freshman. I have dived head first into college life and I am loving it so much already (I’ll be talking more about that in my “Lifestyle” section which I will add shortly so I can start blogging about life, college and everything in general on a regular basis).
Back to my outfit in this post! For this outfit, I decided to go for a dressier look than my last few outfits. I am absolutely in love with dresses, in fact I am pretty sure I have too many dresses for one human being (close to a hundred to be specific). Dresses are my #1 go to whether I want to dress it up or dress it down. It is so easy to put on and so easy to style to make it look very classy or very casual and that is the best part about dresses, the possibilities are endless. In this outfit, I decided to dress it up, more specifically an outfit that I can wear to Sunday Brunch (channeling my inner Blair Waldorf here).
In this Gossip Girl Sunday Brunch inspired outfit, I decided to wear this floral cream colored dress with orange floral detailing and to top it off I added a gold knotted belt because the dress was a little too big on me. That’s what I love about dresses, it is so easy to make the dress fit to you even if it is not the correct size! For my accessories, which I noticed I have quite a bit of in this outfit, I decided to go with a simple pearl necklace. Tip: With prints, especially floral detailing already being a big statement to the eyes, you want to stick with a simpler piece to accentuate your neckline so that not too much attention is taken away from your dress! For my earrings, I decided to complement the simplicity of my necklace with earrings that were a little more eye catching but not too flashy. As for bracelets, I decided to wear my bracelet from Thought Blossoms and gold bangles to complement them. To top it off I decided to use my Louis Vuitton purse. Although it is pretty outdated, I still love using it because it gives off such a classy feel to any outfit I put on. Last but certainly not the least are the shoes I received from AMI Clubwear. I have searched so long for the perfect lace up heels and although I did not find the original black ones I wanted I am completely in love with these tan ones. Even when I was unboxing it, I was already thinking of the endless outfit possibilities that would work so well with these shoes. They are very comfortable and definitely an eye catcher and of course the perfect way to top off an outfit!
Until next time, Xoxo, Paula ❤
