Ahhh denim and black. The most classic page in the book. I'm sure any person with even the slightest eye for a good outfit combination can tell you that denim and black will never fail you. Why? Because it is such a classic!
I actually bought this denim top while I was living in Madrid. You'd think I would remember to pack such a staple piece but needless to say, I forgot to bring it with me. Oh Paula. I was lucky enough to live in a city that valued fashion very much and actually had a 5 story Primark (Oh how I miss that 5 story store that took all my money) among the numerous other stores that lined its streets! I bought this denim top thinking that it would be good staple to add to my very tiny closet abroad and it has definitely been my bestfriend since! It goes with basically anything and is honestly a MUST-HAVE not only in your closet but especially if you're traveling and want something versatile! I myself always make sure to bring along black and denim anywhere I travel as I know it is a fail proof outfit.
For this look, I was channeling sporty chic and I think the Superstars tops off the outfit pretty well in that sense! My Kate Spade cross body (which I swear by) adds a very cute and subtle touch to almost any outfit, in fact I use it with almost everything. Kate Spade, you're a genius.
